Dutch Uncle

The definition of “Dutch Uncle” is a person who gives firm but benevolent advice.
In this case, it is, perhaps, a little more on the harsh side.

Cheers ~

Side Note: the Dutch fellow in this comic was inspired by a painting that mesmerized me during my travels through Europe and continues to do so to this day. It’s called the Syndics of the Draper’s Guild. I stood in front this painting for a long time at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
